My travel trailer is equipped with 20# bottles. I had always bought the soft covers, as our local RV stores told me that 20# covers didn't exist. Their solution was that I could put on the 30# cover, and it would be just fine. I didn't like that idea and found this cover from Camco. It was very easy to assemble and install, and looks great. The item arrived in about 5 days.

I bought a used 2001 17' Terry Ultralight hybrid travel trailer. After waxing the fiberglass, the trailer looked almost new. But, the two 5 gallon propane tanks were rusted on the top (although not out of date). They made the whole trailer look old and junky. I had one newer tank from my dad but it was gray, not white like the others. I was debating whether to buy two new tanks or paint the existing ones. Then, I came across this cover. It works perfect.
It was easy to put together and slide over the tanks. I clipped a bungy cord across the bottom of the frame since I live in a high wind area. It is easy to access the tanks with the flip top. And to remove/refill the tanks I will just need to unclip the bungy cord and lift the cover off.
I like the fact that this cover fits my "small" 5 fallon tanks perfectly instead of using a taller one. It's the best investment I've made to improve the looks of the trailer. The box it comes in is big so I was very grateful for Amazon's free shipping. I'm very pleased with my purchase and recommend this to those with smaller trailers and tanks.

I bought this to replace one of those soft, zippered, elastic covers that are much easier to find but which are destroyed by the sun over time. This unit seems much more rugged and less likely to trap water around the tanks. I put one of my bungie cords through the molded-in plastic hoops on the bottom of the unit to prevent it being blown off while on the highway.

We purchased a new 2010 RV and bought these vent covers and were very disappointed. They were just a bit smaller than our vent; the tape didn't stick to the framework of the vent; when in use no air can come thru the vent and to leave the cover hanging is very unattractive. Overall, they are not an acceptable alternative for a vent cover.

Added two of these to the top of the trailer and with the kits and instructions provided they went on very easy. Allows us to leave the vents open all of the time so moisture does not accumulate and the heat is dissapated all summer

This is a good, basic vent cover. It is easy to mount with the supplied hardware. And it comes with a removable section so you don't have to buy an extra mounting kit to get easy access to clean the vent underneath. I ordered Camco screen door slides and vent insulators at the same time, and got free shipping from Amazon, a major savings.

Keeps out the rain as advertized and allows you to leave the roof vent open in all weather. This is a must have for folks in the South where a stored RV can get real hot inside. Leaving the vent open allows ventilation on hot days in storage. Intallation was simple. Make sure you test vent door clearance before you drill the holes.
