I live in Fresno and it is 105 degrees and up on a regular basis in the summer. I ordered three of these umbrellas because they had metal poles that tilt and a handle to wind and raise them up and down. Could not be easier to use and the quality is great. No paint chips or torn material after a year and a half of constant use. No sun rot and no problem with the wind up handle. Love these and love the price!

We ordered two of these umbrellas. First the color is completely off - they're actually grey. Second, they are cheaply made, using composite wood, not real wood. One of the umbrellas just snapped in half - literally. It was closed and it was slightly windy outside. I'm hoping to return these for a full refund.

This umbrella is very flimsy and cheaply constructed. It sways and oscilates wildly in the slightest breeze. Seems it would definately break in any moderate gust. There are no metal reinforcements at the rib attachments, just a bolt through the thin wood ribs. The pole is soft, weak wood and much too thin to support an 11 foot canopy. I put it up for 2 hours, took it down and boxed it back up for return today before it broke. My advice is spend a little more for a better built and stronger umbrella if you need an 11' canopy.
