I thought this would turn out to be more tarp than I needed. I have a 7x9 Coleman four-man tent, and this 10x12 tarp is exactly the right size to go under the whole tent plus give me a generous entrance/exit area. I always stake it down at all four corners, independently from the tent.
Memorial Day weekend 2009 I was at a bluegrass festival that was hit by a near-hurricane-level storm. Tents and tarps went flying all over the place, and most everyone lost their gear. Not me. This tarp stayed put, the tent on top of it was unharmed, and despite being battered by wind and debris, all it got was muddy. Cheaper tarps and groundcloths at nearby campsites were torn to shreds.

We bought a couple of these to cover our woodpiles. No lie, we had them covered up fewer than 3 minutes when we got one of our nastier thunderstorms: winds over 60 miles an hour and 2 inches of rain in less than an hour. Because we had not perfected "tenting" the tarp it ended up holding up a large amount of pooled water; withstood the winds as well. We've had plenty of wind and rain since and had no problems. I'm sure they'll handle snow as well. These are sturdy and strong, no problems with the grommets. Highly recommended.

This is being used to wrap a wood pile. Brown side blends right into background of trees. Seems formidable, already weathered a few storms, and holding up just fine. Hope it lasts for years.

i bought this tarp to protect our patio furniture during the winter months. i've used it one winter. it kept the furniture dry. it's not a really high quality tarp. it seems like it would tear fairly easily, and it seems fairly thin, but these are merely perceptions. i have not conducted any scientific tests or comparisons. but i can tell you it kept our stuff dry for one winter, and i play to use it again next winter.

This is a well priced tarp and larger, 12 x 16,than several smaller ones I have. It's 5 mm thick. Nice and light to move around. Need to anchor if there is any wind. Durability is unknown. So far, so good.

I bought this UV tarp to shade my tent at Burningman, the UV aspect worked very well at shielding the sun, also it survived some very strong dust storms; proving that it's very well constructed. I wouldn't spend too much time looking else where.

I used this tarp as a cover for a 10x16 canopy on my deck. I installed it in June, 2008, and it lasted until March, 2010 when it finally began to tear. This was in continuous outdoor use in Atlanta, GA. I used zip-ties to secure it to a standard 1-3/8" tubular steel frame. It was the perfect width (10' wide frame with pitched roof), but was a little long (frame was shorter than 16') so I used zip-ties at one end and hung plants from the grommets at the other end. The weight of the hanging plants kept it pulled tight the whole time and the grommets never ripped out, even through severe storms. When it finally began to tear, it was along the ridge of the roof where it's exposed most to rain, sun, squirrels, stretching, etc. The reason I'm reviewing it now is because I came back to buy the exact same product.

We purchased this tarp to go under the Eureka Copper Canyon 1512. It fits perfectly and is very sturdy. The only downside is when it is sunny, the white is VERY bright to look at, but under the tent, it's very subtle. Highly recommended.

It is an excellent fit for my 12X20 carport. I needed to add a couple of gromets to match the holes in the poles. The end result looks twice as good as the original cover and at half the price.

I wasn't able to find one of these in white in my size in any local stores, so it was nice to find this so easily on Amazon.
Quality seems to be as good or better than any tarp you can buy at places like Home Depot, Kmart, etc.
Using it for my 12x20 costco carport, who's original covering only lasted a year or so.

During a power-outage, we'll roll our portable generator under a 5 x 7 work-table that's on our patio. We'll put this tarp over the table, tie it down, and the generator will be reasonably protected from any rain or snow.
The actual size of this tarp is 5' 9" x 7' 9". It really is "heavy duty".
The corner grommets are brass and the other grommets are aluminum.
This tarp is 100% waterproof since it's made entirely of poly/synthetic materials, other than the rust-proof grommets.
The tarp is made by weaving "high tenacity polyethylene tapes" into fabric, then laminating a poly film onto both sides. I.e., the tarp has three layers of material, heat bonded together.
The tarp has UV stabilizers throughout, to protect it from sun damage. All the seams are heat-sealed.
Harpster Incorporated is located in Phillipsburg PA, but the product is made in China. They offer 9 qualities/thicknesses of tarps as thin as 2.9 oz/sq yard -- this one is their heaviest @ 8 oz/sq yard, and it's a bit stiff.
The only negative is the 30-day warranty.
This tarp is tough-enough to cover wood-piles, equipment, or work-tables.

When I 1st recieved it in the mail I thought, oh it's not gonna be big enough, well to my amazment, it was huge! I was setting myself up for disappointment b/c of the great price for it, I thought, well something must be wrong, but that was not the case, we are very satisfied with this product. the green side is a little lighter than the picture shows, but not a concern for me.

Decent tarp. We tried to use it to as a shield from the rain under our deck but after a couple of days it got a few small holes in it. This may have been from the wind bouncing the tarp up against the deck, not sure. Anyway for $20 it is a good tarp just don't expect to use it for anything vigorous.
We bought this tarp to cover our 20 ft grill area. It's tied down and has held up great against 55 mph winds and 3-4 snowstorms -- at least 45+ inches of snow. Very happy with this purchase. So far, no tears and the grommets are holding up well. We have the brown side facing up and it blends in nicely with the backyard (as opposed to bright blue, neon yellow, etc). Price was very reasonable (we expected to have to replace within a year, given the horrible winds we have in our area). So far, so good. Arrived early and in excellent condition. Very, very happy with this purchase!

It's hard to get too excited about tarps! I purchased 2 of these to replace an rv cover which ripped apart after 1 year. This tarp was exactly how it was described and met my expectations right out of the package. Amazon's price was much better than other tarp companies, and Amazon offered free shipping. If you need an unusual size tarp and can't find one in your local hardware store, buy one from Amazon!
Couldn't take the heat

I used this tarp to cover my boat. I stretched a rope the length of my boat then drapped the tarp over it and secured the bottom with bungie cords. In less than 2 weeks the factory glued seam which ran the length of the tarp seperated. I realize the temperature in S. Florida can be extreme but this is the first tarp I've seen do this. Usually they last about a year before they break down. The return process was quick and easy and I have received a speedy refund.
